It is not going to happen, if they do that, they will be hurting their relations with important retailers such as Gamestop and Best Buy that survive partially on used game sales.
If Sony or Nintendo is doing it, then yea, I can see that happening, but it is suicidal to try this alone in the gaming industry.

I think it is the lack of backward compatibility of the PS4 that is causing a surge in PS3 sales. Like preparing for a tornado, people might want to stack up on an extra PS3, just in case.

I have All the Uncharted and sadly, hardly anyone is playing on the server, so why not give it for free. I do praise Sony for that though as I have really enjoy my time for the DC Universe game, which is also free.
Sony has no choice, like a poker hand, they have to go all in or go home. If the PS4 fails, then Sony is finished. Wish them the luck as I also have some love for the PS3/4 regardless of what people might think around here.
Even if Superman 64 was a terrible game, it actually sold pretty well on the N64. It was a top seller in North America during the month of June 1999. But there is no excuse for A:CM to do that badly commercially and critically when it was in development for ages. It could be the Sega curse as I don't remember the last good game that was published by them.

What are you talking about, it is Sony that started this with their exclusivity of such titles as GTA, Metal Gear, and Final Fantasy. They also have bought exclusive contents from titles like Assassin's Creed, Batman:Arkham, and just recently, Destiny from Bungie. It goes both ways. The best option is to get all the systems so you can pick and choose the best versions with the best contents to play and it will be a non-issue.
Taking a dump is not cheap, you have to have food in your stomach to take a Sh!t. My average grocery bill is $500 per month not including the McDonalds and KFC that I may have for lunch. So yes, I am against your proposal.

$35 bucks is like 3 bucks a month, it is not a big deal as all it takes is one less beer or one less Starbuck coffe per month and you will be OK. It is not like you have to reserve to Ramen Noodle and tap water to play on Live.

StrogMan, I am not surprise that I see you in another Microsoft related article and doing your bashing as always. I want to type further but what is the point in answering to your illogical comments.
Of course it can happen. First, Microsoft is a software company and they will have a better knowledge of implementing BC through emulation via software; especially when the last GPU was from ATI, which is much easier to do BC than the PS3 with its Cell processor and Nvidia GPU. It is a combination of hardware and software that will enable this to happen.
None of my games are $60, I usually buy them on sale for $20-$30 cheaper. I just have to wait a month or two and problem solve.
